PAWSITIVE KIDS CAMP
Our Mission
This collaborative camp offers a unique opportunity for children in grades 2-5 and 6-8. Campers have been matched with a dog awaiting adoption from Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue and during the week of camp they will learn dog safety, how train the dog to help it become more adoptable, but most importantly work on their own self esteem, behavior management, self control, and all through animal assisted play therapy techniques. This is a win-win with licensed mental health professionals and dog trainers as the camp counselors!
Some featured learning for campers includes: what qualities to look for in a pet, experience first hand what is involved in caring for and training a dog, and how to provide a healthy lifestyle for themselves and a dog.
Over the course of the week long camp, campers will be preparing puppies to be adopted for the closing adoption event, while improving the dog and campers social skills and emotional health.
WHAT WE DO
Pawsitive Kids Camp is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit is aimed at teaching kids how to train and understand dogs. We make sure both the kids and the dogs get the best experience out of the camp.
ACTIVES
Camp Week
Through out the camp week your child would learn dog body language and different parts of the brain. We also make dog treats and beds for dogs for the event at the end of the camp.
RESCUE DOGS
Rescue is the Best Breed
Here at Pawsitive Kids Camp were partnered with an animal rescue to better these dogs lives. Brookes Legacy Animal Rescue helps to bring us loving dogs for the kids to train and help to learn their doggy manners.
DOG TRAINING
Learning Experience
Pawsitive Kids Camp is dedicated to teaching kids the proper way of training dogs. Together the dog and child learn a special way to communicate. The dogs also learn helpful tricks to show their forever family.
